Cookie Policy
This policy explains what cookies are, which cookies this site sets, why it sets them, and how you can control them. It forms part of our Privacy Policy.
Cookie Policy details
1. What Cookies Are
Cookies are small text files that a website places on your device when you visit. They allow the website to recognise your device on subsequent visits and remember information such as whether you are logged in or your display preferences. Cookies do not contain executable code and cannot access other files stored on your device.
Cookies are distinct from local storage items, which are also small pieces of data stored in your browser but are not transmitted to the server with each request. We explain our use of local storage in Section 3.
2. Cookies We Set
This site sets only the cookies listed below. We do not use advertising cookies, behavioural profiling cookies, or cross-site tracking.
2.1 Strictly Necessary Cookies
These cookies are required for the website to function. They cannot be disabled without breaking core features such as authentication for site administrators.
| Cookie Name | Provider | Purpose | Retention |
|---|---|---|---|
wordpress_test_cookie | This site | Tests that the browser accepts cookies before a login attempt proceeds. | Session |
wordpress_logged_in_* | This site | Maintains an authenticated session for registered users and site administrators. | 14 days |
wordpress_sec_* | This site | Provides a secondary authentication layer for the WordPress administration area. | Session |
wp-settings-* | This site | Stores interface preferences (panel states, column widths) for users with site accounts. | 1 year |
wp-settings-time-* | This site | Records when interface preferences were last saved. | 1 year |
2.2 No Analytics or Advertising Cookies
This site does not load Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, LinkedIn Insight Tag, or any equivalent analytics or advertising cookie. No cookie-based behavioural profiling takes place on this site.
3. Local Storage
In addition to cookies, this site uses one browser local storage entry:
| Key | Purpose | Retention |
|---|---|---|
sitx_cookie_consent | Stores your cookie consent choice so the consent banner is not displayed on every page visit. Contains the value 1 when you accept and is absent when you have not yet responded. | Persists until you clear browser storage. No automatic expiry. |
To withdraw a previously given consent, open your browser developer tools, navigate to Application > Local Storage, and delete the sitx_cookie_consent entry. Reload the page and the consent banner will reappear.
4. Third-Party Requests
When you load a page, your browser may contact third-party servers to retrieve assets. These are not cookies set by us, but they do involve a transfer of your IP address and browser information to a third party. We list all such transfers below.
| Service | Provider | Purpose | Data Transferred |
|---|---|---|---|
| Web Fonts | Google LLC (United States) | Loads the Poppins typeface used throughout this site. | IP address, browser user-agent string, referring URL. Governed by Google’s privacy policy. |
We use preconnect performance hints for font delivery. No Google Ads, Google Analytics, or Google Tag Manager products are loaded on this site.
5. What We Do Not Use
For the avoidance of doubt, this site does not use:
- Third-party advertising or retargeting cookies
- Social media tracking pixels (Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, TikTok)
- Analytics platforms that profile individual visitor behaviour
- A/B testing or personalisation scripts
- Session recording or heatmap tools
- Affiliate tracking cookies
6. Managing Your Preferences
Consent banner
On your first visit, a consent banner appears at the bottom of the screen. Selecting “Accept All” stores the sitx_cookie_consent local storage entry and dismisses the banner. To withdraw consent, delete this entry as described in Section 3 and reload the page.
Browser settings
All modern browsers allow you to block or delete cookies through their privacy or settings menu. Blocking strictly necessary cookies will prevent login functionality from working correctly if you are a site administrator.
Blocking third-party font requests
To prevent your browser from connecting to Google’s font servers, you can use a content-blocking browser extension or enable the relevant privacy controls in your browser’s settings. The site will fall back to system fonts if the Poppins typeface cannot be loaded.
7. Your Rights
Under Jordan PDPL Law No. 24 of 2023, you have the right to access personal data we hold about you, request correction or deletion, and object to certain processing. The data transferred to Google for font delivery is processed by Google under its own terms. For data we directly control, please use our Contact form to exercise your rights. We will respond within 30 days.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy as our cookie usage changes or as applicable law requires. The effective date at the top of this page is updated whenever material changes are made. Continued use of the site following an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
9. Contact
Questions about our use of cookies should be directed to us via our Contact form. We aim to respond to all privacy enquiries within 10 business days.
