Accessibility Statement
SecureITX Solutions is committed to making this website usable by everyone, including people who rely on assistive technologies. This statement sets out where we stand against WCAG 2.1 Level AA and how to reach us about access barriers.
Accessibility Statement details
1. Our Commitment
SecureITX Solutions is committed to ensuring that https://secureitx-solutions.com is accessible to everyone, including people who rely on assistive technologies such as screen readers, keyboard navigation, or voice control software. We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA.
2. Conformance Status
This Site is partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 Level AA. “Partially conformant” means that some content may not yet fully conform to the accessibility standard. We are actively working to address known gaps.
3. Technical Measures Applied
The following accessibility features have been implemented across the Site:
- Skip navigation link – a “Skip to main content” link is the first focusable element on every page, allowing keyboard users to bypass the navigation menu.
- ARIA landmarks – all pages use semantic HTML5 landmark elements (
<header>,<nav>,<main>,<footer>) with appropriate ARIA roles and labels. - Colour contrast – all foreground/background colour combinations meet or exceed the WCAG AA minimum ratios: 4.5:1 for normal text and 3:1 for large text and user interface components.
- Focus indicators – all interactive elements display a visible focus ring when navigated to by keyboard (
focus-visible). - Form accessibility – all form fields are associated with visible labels. Required fields are indicated with
aria-required. Validation errors are announced viaaria-invalidandaria-describedby. Focus is moved to the first invalid field upon submission failure. - ARIA live regions – status notifications (TOAST messages) use pre-defined live regions with
role="status"for successes androle="alert"for errors, ensuring screen readers announce them immediately. - Keyboard navigation – the mobile navigation menu can be opened and closed with the keyboard. Pressing Escape closes any open menu. The hamburger button uses
aria-expandedto communicate its state. - Font loading – web fonts use
font-display: swapto prevent invisible text during font loading. - Language – the
langattribute is set on the<html>element to identify the primary language of each page. - No reliance on colour alone – information is not conveyed by colour alone; shape, text, or other visual cues are used alongside colour.
4. Known Limitations
We are aware of the following areas where full conformance has not yet been achieved and are working to resolve them:
- Some decorative images may not yet have
alt=""attributes explicitly set to empty (suppressing announcement by screen readers). - The third-party font service (Google Fonts) loads resources from an external domain; its accessibility conformance is outside our direct control.
5. Technical Specifications
Accessibility of this Site relies on the following technologies:
- HTML5
- CSS3 (including custom properties and
@media (prefers-reduced-motion)) - JavaScript (ES5-compatible, no reliance on JavaScript for core content access)
- WAI-ARIA 1.1
6. Assessment Approach
SecureITX Solutions assessed the accessibility of this Site through self-evaluation against WCAG 2.1 criteria, including manual keyboard testing and review of HTML output for ARIA attribute correctness and colour contrast ratios.
7. Feedback and Contact
We welcome feedback on the accessibility of this Site. If you experience any barriers or have suggestions for improvement, please contact us via our Contact form. We aim to respond to accessibility-related enquiries within 5 business days.
8. Formal Complaints
